Discovery is where most waste can be avoided. I start by aligning stakeholders on outcomes, constraints, and success signals then I pressure test assumptions with real users. I run JTBD conversations, map pains and triggers, and validate whether people will actually use (or pay for) the thing we’re imagining. In regulated spaces, I layer in risk: data sensitivity, audit needs, approvals, and failure impact.The output isn’t a deck that collects dust but  problem statement, a short list of viable bets, and a v1 scope you can execute. You’ll get decision criteria, a “what to do first vs. later” roadmap, and the minimal validation plan to derisk the next step.
