I start with the real job your user is trying to do and only add AI where it reduces effort or unlocks something new recommendations, classification, smart defaults, during decision making, drafting. Together with product, engineering, and (when relevant) compliance, I define the behavior, edge cases, and fallback states so the feature is safe and understandable.
You’ll get clear specs, empty/error/loading states that don’t collapse under latency, and a path to measure impact (adoption, completion rate, quality). I’ve shipped AI-enabled features for large user bases, so I know how to balance ambition with reliability, monitoring, and a plan for continuous improvement.
